In this week-long summer camp for kids at Montalvo Arts Center, students learned the art of mixed media and reuse by building a world of their own, breathing new life into reclaimed cardboard, recycled plastics, textiles and more. Young makers explored ideas about both the individual and the community through constructing models of their own ideal homes, then coming together as a group to form their ideal neighborhood.
