No Boundaries Teen Art Initiative

A program of the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, the No

Boundaries Teen Art Initiative involved young artists, ages thirteen

to fifteen, who were nominated to participate by their art teachers

and selected through a competitive process. They represent students from Missouri and Kansas, and public, private, charter and home school settings. I was one of three artist-educators that created and taught this nine week program once a year for four years. Students explored not only new materials, but

also new ways of seeing and expressing their creativity. The program culminated with an exhibition of their work.
