As part of Missouri Bank’s Artist in Residence series, I set up my art studio in their bank lobby, and invited employees and visitors to stop for a moment in their day and make art with me. Using my collection of mixed media and found objects as material and a jumping off point, participants had an opportunity to play, create and explore with no pressure of an outcome. For adults busy with life this was a welcome reprieve from their everyday. Inspired by my found objects, bank tellers returned from their lunch walk having collected trinkets on the street to use in their creation, delighting me that Create With Me had shifted what they found of interest on their walk and how they were seeing the details of the world around them.
